If you do not plan to accessorize your house, apartment, or room with picture frames, but still would like to hang art work. There are many ways to achieve this without having to spend lots of money, or forcing yourself to displaying only lithographies of your favorite classical artists such as Renoir, Monet and Da Vinci. The classic masters have always been the guiding models for many struggling artists not only all over the world but for a long time since these masters lived and died. As a result, there are countless students that seek to follow on their footsteps and that, even, are willing participants on classes where they are challenged to copy and mimic such wonderful paintings.
If you are in love with the masters and certainly cannot afford one of their original paintings –at least not on your student loan budget-, you can always seek to purchase the work of these students, most likely on your own college or university campus there is an art department with students such like these. Of course, do not expect them to sell you their work for pennies, IF their work is good, they will expect a good pay; but you can still hassle and see what you can achieve.
Remember that the most important thing is that you like it. It does not matter if the picture that the student has made is an exact copy of the original or not, it can even have an altered shade or shape; but if you like it, then that is what counts; after that, all you will have left to do is provide the canvas with a frame.
If you are not that much into the masters, you can still search through the students on the art department on your college or university for their work. Once again, it will be important for you to decide whether you will require or prefer to have only nature, portraits, scenes, or what type of painting is what you are looking for.
A nature scene can have or not a man made structure like a cabin, a fence or even a road; so you will need to be very precise on what you are expecting. If you are not sure what it is that you want, you can always browse through the internet; a simple query can cast overwhelming results; or you can take some time to visit the local museum of art and see what is there on display and decide once you have seen the exhibitions.
