Success stories -An alternative student loan- Part 1-

I had no money whatsoever to actually finish my career. I remember coming out of college and considering entering a University to “round up” my education but I had no financial sufficiency and my family had some issues of their own, so naturally, I could not ask dad to divert any money from his importing business to pay for what he believed it was a whim of my part.

My other family, uncles, aunts, and grandparents had their own problems and even though they did manage to help me with books and other school related things were not in optimal condition to help me out either.

Fortunately, I talked to a friend of mine who happened to be a teacher at a university and who told me about student loans. I promise I did not know about this possibility. He told me that he had sought when it was his turn, the assistance of an alternative student loan, he explained the basic issues pertinent to applying for a student loan from a banking institution and since I am as he was, an independent student, I went for it.

Applying for the student loan was not that hard since the executive was very friendly and kind. The amount of documents and other references I had to present was also low and my employer helped too when the executive took upon her to call him over the phone and cross check my references. I am grateful to all of them.

So I was granted the loan and since it was through a banking institution I asked for the monthly payments to be deducted directly from my payroll debit account; all I needed to do is sign the proper form and I was completely oblivious about everything! Of course, I was asked to open a new account where the money was going to be deposited so that there were no confusions as to if they were deducting the money from the same loan they gave me or what and I was not asked to deposit a minimal amount to be able to open this account.

I paid all the things I needed to pay for my continued education and eventually got my degree. I must be honest and say that there were indeed times where I had not enough money and therefore I was not able to make the payments in time though I was on time most of the time.
